How it works
Order on Etsy and fill in the boxes
Etsy asks a few questions at checkout: your child’s first name, the places and the people, and your paper size (or, for Australian schools, the name of their first year).
We make your child’s story
It’s ready within 2 working days. Etsy emails you when you can download it.
Print it and read it together
Stick your own photos in the dashed boxes if you like, then read it together in the days or weeks before.
What’s inside
- An 8-page PDF written in your child’s voice, such as “Mum and I will walk to school together.”
- A cover with their name, then the story in 10 pictures over 5 pages.
- Dashed photo boxes for your own photos of the school, the teacher or the family. Or keep our picture.
- A photo page of their people, and a 10-sleep countdown (school) or 12 new-baby picture cards (new baby).
- UK A4 with UK words, or US Letter with US words. The Australian school story comes on A4 with Australian school words: recess, the school hat, lunch box, canteen or tuckshop.

Your child’s details
We ask for first names only (and teachers’ names as your child says them). We never ask for photos: you add your own at home. We use the details only to make the story, and we delete them and the finished file 30 days after delivery. To help write and lay out each story we use an AI tool, Claude by Anthropic. The privacy notice has the details.
Good to know
- It’s a digital file: nothing is posted. Home printing is fine; card or laminating makes it last.
- For your own family or class. Please don’t share or resell the file.
- An everyday visual aid, not a therapy or medical product. If you’re worried about your child, talk to your GP, health visitor or school SENCo.
